Lauren Mendelsohn is an associate attorney at the Law Offices of Omar Figueroa, a boutique Northern California law firm serving clients in the cannabis industry. Lauren works with clients throughout California and focuses on licensing, regulatory compliance, government relations, and post-conviction relief. She has spoken at a variety of events, from the Emerald Cup to Continuing Legal Education (CLE) seminars. For the past several years, Lauren has been active in the drug policy reform movement as well as other progressive and humanitarian efforts. She is the former Chair of the Board of Directors of Students for Sensible Drug Policy (SSDP), an international non-profit organization working to end the counterproductive “War on Drugs.” She is passionate about the environment, human and civil rights, science, and the arts. Lauren earned her Bachelor of Sciences in Psychology from the University of Maryland and her Juris Doctor from the University of California, Irvine School of Law. She is currently on the Board of Directors for the Sonoma County Growers Alliance. Kebra Smith–Bolden was born and raised in New Haven, Connecticut.
