Deputy Director, Show-Me Cannabis Amber Iris Langston has been an advocate of drug policy reform for over a decade, attaining her first campaign-related success when she was a student directing the 2004 municipal petition effort to decriminalize minor possession and create protections for medical marijuana patients in Columbia, Missouri. In 2006, Ms. Langston joined the Board of Directors and later, staff of Students for Sensible Drug Policy, serving as national outreach director and international liaison. In 2010, Amber spent time working as the media liaison for California’s legalization effort Proposition 19, followed by a brief position as field coordinator for Americans for Safe Access, advocating on behalf of medical cannabis patients around the world.
