Shawn Hauser, Esq., is a senior associate at Vicente Sederberg LLC, the first national law firm dedicated exclusively to marijuana law and policy with offices in Denver, Las Vegas, California, Washington D.C. and Boston. Vicente Sederberg was a key player in the historic effort to legalize marijuana in Colorado and have been leaders in similar efforts nationally and worldwide. Shawn routinely advises marijuana and hemp businesses in navigating the intersection between state and federal law, licensing, general business representation, investment, regulatory compliance, and intellectual property. Shawn works with clients to form compliant business structures to best position them for success in Colorado and nationally and to create innovative solutions to manage emerging and complex marijuana laws.
Shawn directed Sensible Colorado’s local government implementation team following the passage of Amendment 64 and works with local governments, in both Colorado and nationally, to develop and implement marijuana regulations to advance the cannabis industry in a dynamic and responsible manner. After graduating from University of Denver Sturm College of Law, Shawn was an associate attorney at McAllister, Darnell, & Gottlieb PC, one of the first marijuana-focused law firms in Colorado. She was named one of “Denver’s Top Lawyers” by 5280 Magazine in 2015, 2016, and 2017.
