To the AMAZING ladies of Women Grow:

I’ve given a lot of reflection to my last year ‘IN THE INDUSTRY’—an industry that I have been involved in for well over a decade. It struck me, that in all the time of hard work and dedication I was primarily surrounded by men who never took me seriously. Then, just over a year ago I sat at yet another conference. This time though, there was something I had never seen before…. A networking breakfast for women! I showed up not sure what to expect, but was delighted to be seated next to a few women discussing a new group they had formed, Women Grow. I was eager, (to say the least) to get involved. I went home with the intention of sponsoring, starting a chapter, and basically becoming best friends with these women with whom I already adored, despite really having any sort of formal introduction.

Now here I sit, feeling like I’ve done what I set out to do. At each meeting throughout the year I felt my love for the organization, and the women who not only run it, but are just touched by it’s growth. At the meetings in my small town I was overwhelmed with the love and thanks I received from the women who attended. These women, like me were so happy to finally have a place where they could open up and feel included in the industry that they had been a part of for many years in the shadows. When I attended conferences and industry events throughout the year I was always greeted with love, hugs and compliments from the Women Grow team. We’d sit and share stories, ideas, and some finely rolled cannabis. These are some of my best memories through the year, the times when I felt most inspired to get out there and work harder and really put all my thoughts into action.

It wasn’t all fun and games at these events; it was hard work and both mentally and physically taxing. End of days were sometimes met with tears, but I knew that these ladies would pick me up and remind me what we were all there for. Whenever I have a question, a concern, a problem, or just needed an ear I know I can make a quick call, or send a text and there will be an incredible woman on the other end of the line ready to listen and help.

At each of these encounters my love for these women grows, faster than so many of the cannabis plants I’ve equally nourished. There is so much love and dedication I see pour both in and out of Women Grow. We all teach each other; lessons of life in the industry, new emerging research, ways to succeed, how not to fail.

We bring each other up; nothing makes us smile wider and beam brighter than seeing our fellow sisters succeed both personally and professionally. We meet new peers; we bond together, making sure to make these acquaintances turn into lasting friendships and professional relationships.

I am so proud to be a part of this. I am honored to call all of you women my friends, and my industry peers. When sitting in Vegas one year after my first introduction to you, I could think of no better time, place and way to show my appreciation for all you have brought into my life. The Women Grow leaf has been a beautiful thing for me. The cannabis leaf has been a constant reminder as to why I am here, who I am, and what I am doing in this industry. You ladies found a way to make it even more beautiful, feminine, and powerful. I feel honored to have such a beautiful representation on me for the rest of my life.

Every day I get a little more confident, and a little more motivated, and a little more dedicated; all in large part due to your constant influx of love and support. I can’t seem to find the words to truly express my love and appreciation for you ladies, though I hope this letter at least touches the surface.

With love and admiration,
