Director of Communications, Coalition for Responsible Cannabis Legislation
Kim Kole graduated from Colorado College with a Bachelors Degree in Biology and a Minor in Environmental Issues. During her 13 years of teaching high school Biology, Chemistry, and AP Environmental Science, she also earned her Master’s Degree in Secondary Science Education from Montana State University in Bozeman.
Kim participated in Alaska’s Ballot Measure 2 campaign by heading the Parent Coalition and speaking out publicly on the need to fix Alaska’s broken medical marijuana system as well as restricting access to those under 21 years of age. She is currently the Director of Communications for the Coalition for Responsible Cannabis Legislation, whose goal is to represent legislation supporters throughout the state by working with local and state governments to construct well thought out regulations that will support safe access for all Alaskans and boost economic viability. She is also a board member and Secretary of the Alaska Marijuana Industry Association, whose mission is to promote a responsible marijuana industry and to provide resources, information, and training for business owners, employees, and affiliated businesses. Kim is working with a couple of business partners to submit an application in February for the business, Athena’s Bliss, which will be a cultivation, processing, and retail establishment in Anchorage, AK. Additionally, Kim is the state chair of the Alaska chapter of Women Grow.
