Eloise Theisen, RN, MSN, AGPCNP-BC is a certified adult geriatric nurse practitioner who specializes in cannabis therapy. For over 15 years, Eloise has worked in oncology treating hundreds of patients. She has managed side effects from chemotherapy and radiation as well as pain and many other side effects associated with cancer and its treatment. In the last 2 1/2 years, Eloise has focused her efforts on cannabis therapy. She works with many patients to find the right cannabinoid, dosage, and delivery method.
In addition to working with patients, Eloise serves on the board of the American Cannabis Nurses Association (ACNA). The ACNA is the only nursing organization that educates nurses on the Endocannabinoid System and effective cannabis therapies. She is currently the chair of the credentialing committee, which is in the process of developing a credentialing program for nurses in the field of cannabis medicine. Eloise is also a clinical instructor at Cal State East Bay where she teaches nursing students.
Eloise obtained her BSN from San Francisco State in 2000, her MSN from CSU Dominguez Hills in 2008, and her post master’s adult-geriatric nurse practitioner certification from University of Massachusetts, Boston in 2014.
